Well, this should give Bottom a run for his money! V funny and a lovely mix of difficulty, from gimmes to proper scratchers. Many likes included 1a, 25a(!), 26a/17d, 28a, 5d and 6d (surely the best and only way to use him in a puzzle). Spoilers, sort of, below …

Thanks Dave that was a load of fun. My top picks were 11a, 12a, 28a, 5d, and 15d. I failed with 23d because I misspelled 22a, not exactly a new word!

Good fun Dave, thanks! 25a is a gem. Other favourites: 12a, 3d, 5d, 6d, 15d, 19d and 24d. I’ll spare you any quibbles under the filthy circumstances.
