Thanks Dave. This was a bit of a struggle at times but worth the effort for clues like 1a, 11a, 17a, 22a, 2d, 5d, and 21d (great surface). I did eventually reveal 10a, 14a, and 3d. More in reply.

Another very nice puzzle, Dave. The odd raised eyebrow but nothing that prevented the solve. One that made me choke on my cuppa but I was able to clean the screen afterwards so no harm done! Faves inc 9a, 11a, 14a, 22a (!), 4a, 3d, 6d, 8d, 23d. Thanks. PM

Good fun, Dave thanks. It seems as if my eyebrows were raised by the same clues that PM and Gennaro have mentioned. And I think I know which one caused PM to spit out his cuppa - COTD for me! I liked 7d once I worked out what was going on; certainly unusual but I think the cryptic instruction is clear. Other favourites: 1a, 29a (NHO notwithstanding), 31a, 3d, 15d and 23d.

I don’t know quite why but 1a tickled me. I really must get out more! But that made for a roaring start. Studded with exactly the sort of quirk that I like. Other big ticks included 9a, 22a!, 29a, 31a, 15d, 16d and 21d. 26a is soooo close. But I must agree with others: it does need a def. That said, this was proper crackerjack. Lots of smiles. Ta lots.
