Cryptic crossword No 2,078

Thanks roooop and welcome to MyC. This is a most impressive debut with well-constructed clues with very readable surfaces. It had the appropriate level of challenge for me with my favs being 11a, 12a, 13a, 22a, 24a, 2d, and 6d. The only 'point' I'd like to make is that you don't need a period at the end of a clue unless it's part of the wordplay or definition.
