Thanks Bairbre. Really good puzzle and a nice level of difficulty for me. I can’t fully parse 10A 5A, 11A or 27A and not sure why “not” in 16A. Particularly liked 1A, 23A, 29A, 18D and 21D, which all led me to the solution from the wordplay.

Thanks Bairbre! My favourites: 12a, 26a, 6d, 29a. You have a knack for definitions that are just outside the reach of my mental synonym finder, but fair. A couple of spoilery thoughts in replies.

Thanks for your feedback Newington and Coot. I had forgotten to upload my annotations - which may help, but yes there could well be a weakness in 27a!

Thanks Bairbre - good to see you back! My favourites are the ones whose surfaces felt more polished, so that's 1a, 17a, 29a, 2d, 25d. (SPOILERS IN REPLY)

Thanks for sharing this one, Bairbre. I thought 9d was well worked, with a convincing surface, and I enjoyed 26a for the same reason. And I really like the wordplay in 23a - nothing in the rules to say you can’t replace a quarter of something with a much larger quantity! I had exactly the same issues as Newington with 27a and 20d.
