Very lean clueing, impressive. Ta lots for this mf

Thanks Gumbo, no pushover but a satisfying solve. I particularly appreciated 8a, 11a, 13a, 21a, 6d, 15d, 21d among others. Struggled with the SE quad for a while and ended up having to do a couple of letter reveals to make progress. Spoilers…

Nice set of clues, Gumbo. Smoothly done. A few absolute crackers in there: 12a is very nice, 23a is cute, 26a is smooth, 1d is amusing, 3d misled me for a while despite one son's addiction for a couple of years, 7d is a fun surface along with 22d. My two faces are 21a - lovely spot - and the brilliant 13a which would grace any crossword that's every been written! Thanks. PM
