Very clever and witty throughout Gollum! I particularly appreciated 1a (of course), 12a, 15a, 26a, 6d (COTD) & 19d among others. Was by no means a pushover, but the humour helped keep things moving with pleasure and anticipation of what the next turn up would be. I can’t think of anything to quibble about, so will just say thanks!

What an interesting idea! I wasn't sure at first but, on reflection, rather enjoyed your playing around with it, Gollum. There were a few stretchy connections but a) that is unashamedly your style and b) they were in the service of a greater good. So I was more than happy to overlook!
