Good stuff - some very nice clues in there. Favourites were 5a, 11a, 12a, 27a, 6d(!) and 19d.

Thanks Laguna. I really like the army thing! I’m the right age to appreciate 5A. Also ticks for 9A, 12A, 14A, 21A, 1D, 2D, 3D, 6D (double-tick!). I wasn’t familiar with the answers for 4D and 18A, and am yet to parse 13D.

Excellent work Laguna - if you're just 'bursting onto the scene' you should do well! This is a marked improvement on your earlier two puzzles which I also looked at. Favourite perhaps is 1a - though your 'Army' reference a wee bit cheeky! Also like your 'notorious intruder'...

A lot of enjoyment and quite a puzzling puzzle at times! Thank you!

Some lovely stuff, favourites being 14A, 25A (blow Ximenes!), 1D, 15D, 19D. I'm not sure about the definition in 28A, especially as so many bits of it are now common parlance (cf 4D). 10A is clever but I'm not quite sure it works. But a very enjoyable puzzle. Thank you.

Very enjoyable. No weak clues to my mind and plenty of excellent ones. Particularly liked 1, 10, 11, 14, 6 and 13 though I didn't succeed in parsing the last before looking at the spoiler!
