Thanks Hubble, this was fun, mostly plain sailing then needed a little help with a couple, but lovely aha moments when done! Favourites included: 1a, 12a, 15a, 20a, 23a, 5d, 6d.

Some lovely and elegantly crafted clues here. Very tight and clean with not a word wasted. Lovely surfaces too. I appreciated 1a’s kind kick-off. Tis always nice to get an early toehold. And “avant-garde” is the perfect word choice in 3a. 10a is adorable: so simple, so pleasing. Ticks galore. Great read at 6d. And 8d is so neat. A welcome and valuable reminder that less can be more. Admirable and impressive – hugely enjoyed this master-class. Sincere thanks. PS are you the Hubble from Hydra?

Hi Hubble. I seem to be starting every comment I make with an apology for being late. I am finally catching up on MyC - you were the last I had to solve before getting to the top row. Just in time for the w/e! I agree with earlier posters - a nicely crafted puzzle. 21d beat me even with the crossers - nho. Faves inc 1a, 24a, 25a, 4d, 7d, 13d and 22d (ha, ha). Thanks. PM
