I liked this a lot! I found it relatively easy (which is a good thing! I find it very difficult to do 'easy') Particularly enjoyed the number of self-referential ones (always reminds me of Boatman!) Never heard of 27, but this was eminently gettable. Similarly 13 (who I SHOULD have known, but didn't! Two standouts for me, The Man in Black (blummin' lovely!) and, as I'm sure everyone will agree, the sublime 25!

Thanks Skirwingle, I liked the difficult level of this and enjoyed working it all out. A couple of NHOs but all fairly clued. I particularly liked 9a (a foot long - very nice), 10a, 28a (must have been happy to find that!), 3d, 7d and 21d.

Thanks for the puzzle! 28a must have been fun to make. I thought 23d a real standout, and 3d very well made.

Thanks Skirwingle, liked this one a lot. Mostly a quick fun solve, though a couple stumped me (TIL what 27a meant!) and some great self-references in here. Favourites included 9a, 13a, 16a (of course right?!), 28a, 25d.

Looks like I share the experience of others, Skirwingle. A breezy run through until stumped for a while by the interlinked 20d and nho 27a. WP gave me all but the 2nd-4th letters of the latter - but that is where the intersection fell. Got there in the end but still do not understand the parsing for the first two letters of 20d. Nicely clued, nice self-references and an amazing find in the nho 13a. Thanks. PM

Very fun, as ever, with plenty to smile about. Particular highlights for me were: 28a 9a 12a 19a 6d 7d and I love clues like 14d! Cheers
