Cryptic crossword No 154

I admire your devotion to the theme Gollum, and don’t object to it at all. I felt that some of the clues were a little long as a result - but all in a good cause! Favourites were 13A, 25A, 3D and 16D. Thanks for the entertainment!

Well this definitely gets an upvote from me - especially for that awful picture :) I agree with the previous comment about some clues being a bit long but I liked the surfaces. My favourites were 13a (ha), 20a, 25a, 2d (clever def), 6d, 8d, 15d and 16d. I thought 23a was clever but I'm not sure if having a homophone as a definition is fair. It's perfectly gettable though so only a small quibble. Thanks Gollum.
