Cryptic crossword No 1,519

Really enjoyed this - quite a quick solve. Faves include: 13a, 15a, 27a, 4d, and 6d

Quetzal, imho a huge jump forward from No 1491. Well done! The clues are mostly crisp and punchy, and you have a lovely touch with the synonyms - stretchy, but not beyond recognition after some thought. Many of the surfaces evoke neat real-world pictures. Massive progress, I'd say.
