Somewhat belatedly, may I echo the praise from Jeems and PostMark. An enjoyable puzzle, with some first rate clues; my favourites were 12a, 18a, 21a, 2d, 3d, 6d, 7d 15d and 19d and I'm interested to see that my choice of favourites is different from others'. I agree about the definition in 4d, and personally I thought 14d was noticeably weaker than your other clues. But a much more accomplished debut than most of us manage. Thank you.
