Cryptic crossword No 117

I liked some of your clues very much, but many tend to require very specific knowledge. Funnily enough though, as much as I really disliked 8 down, (which is surely two words, btw), I was dumbfounded by the coincidence that I have a copy of Fun Home on the bedside table next to me, which I had only been lent this week by my colleague because we'd been discussing graphic novels. I only twigged when I visited your wp link. Most unnerving.
