Just what I needed late on a Friday Jaspa ;-) Nothing too taxing but lots of fun, with 1a/4d the highlight, a great find!

Good puzzle, just right for someone like me late in the day. Excellent surfaces throughout, not easy when trying to keep the wordplay fairly simple. 20a looks a beggar to clue and that's probably the only one that sounds a bit contrived. Many good clues starting with 1a. 21a particularly good of its kind.

Lovely stuff Jaspa, just the ticket as per usual, thanks for the entertainment. 1a/4d started off strong and I also liked 14a (neat and fun), 17a (smooth), 18a (neat), 21a (smooth), 26a (likewise), 27a (fun), 3d (neat), 22d (cute) and 25d (nice self deprecation :D) - nicely done!

Sitting in front of the coronation a gentle Jaspa was just what I needed to distract me. Thanks! A great start with 1a 4d and I also particularly enjoyed 23a, 26a, 7d, 18d and 25d.

As others have said, a nice gentle Jaspa made more straightforward even for me by the number of anagrams and lurkers. But none the worse for that as it was all wrapped in your easy style and silky surfaces. Yes, 1a/4d was a great start, but 13a, 23a, 24a 18d and 19d floated my boat too. Thanks.

I'd agree with the plaudits coming the way of 1a/4d, Jaspa. A super opener. As the others have said, this was a typically approachable puzzle, just right for a slightly fuzzy Sunday morning head. Other favourites include: 4a, 17a, 24a, 26a, 5d, 7d and 22d. Thanks. PM
