Cryptic crossword No 1,108

Thanks Jaspa, a nice puzzle that wasn't too difficult but still had plenty of rewarding moments, favourites of which included 1a, 19a, 29a (great spot), 3d, 12d, and 26d. Minor spoilers below...

Well, bravo Jaspa. You had me going at 1a and 6a and the fun just kept coming. I love (envy?) your easy style and engaging surfaces. Did I have any quibbles? Perhaps a couple, but I enjoyed it so much, who cares?

Very pleasing Jaspa-ish fare - thank you! Just the gentle sort of puzzle I needed. My faves were 1A, 17A, 21A, 26A, 7D and 20D. Spoilers...

My favourite Jaspa in memory, you started off strong with the hilarious 1a and kept things smooth, neat and satisfyingly fun throughout. I think your beat set of surfaces for a while too! I also really liked 9a (neat), 10a (neat), 11a (great def and assembly), 19a (neat), 26a (fun), 29a (clean), 4d (neat), 7d (fun), 12d (neat), 23d (smoothly done) and 24d (neat) - top stuff for a Saturday morning solve 😁
