Cryptic crossword No 104

Another one from last year, unpublished until now. There's a different sort of gimmick from my usual, here. Have fun!

Lovely stuff!

That was tough but I got there in the end - likes for 18a, 20a, 1d, 4d and 13d. Spoliers below...

Thanks Laccaria - I liked the Nina and also found it useful to have those letters! Some unfamiliar words, but I liked 1d, 23a, 11a and 9a. The wordplay in 15a seemed a little bit convoluted to me.

Thanks Laccaria - I really enjoyed this. I think the Nina is great in the way it’s worked into 4d - I love that kind of thing. Other highlights for me are 7a (great surface), 19a, 20a, 24a (really like this one), 8d (another great surface), 10d (ditto), 13d (ditto!), 16d (ditto!). Well done!

Very enjoyable crossword - one of your best I think. All clues of consistently high standard so none really to pick out, except 24 across which, I'm sorry to say, was too clever for me!

Thanks Laccaria, this was lots of fun. The Nina and 4d were satisfying to uncover and lots of other nice clues along the way. I particularly enjoyed 21a, 24a, 3d, 8d, 13d as being concise clues with engaging surfaces.
