Cryptic crossword No 1,028

Thank you for the puzzle juff, that was delightfully inventive. Challenge for this solver, but lovely constructions and surfaces all over and everything fell into places with satisfaction. I particularly liked 1a (adventurously creative construction), 9a (very smooth), 12a (fun surface), 15a (neat), 22a (smooth), 28a (very clever), 2d (fun), 3d (fun and clever), 6d (lovely assembly and surface), 7d (fun), 13d (lol), 17d (cute), 18d (fun) and 25d (simple and smooth) - lovely stuff!
