Unch, a new cryptic crossword magazine
Although MyCrossword is designed for solving cryptic puzzles online, some solvers also like to occasionally do a crossword the good old-fashioned way, with pen (or pencil!) on paper - it’s nice to have choices.
So you might be interested to know that a new crossword magazine called Unch is about to be launched. It will be quarterly and the first issue is due out in October.
Unch will be a small (A5-ish) but perfectly formed publication and will feature about 10 crosswords per issue, with the majority being regular (15x15 blocked) cryptic puzzles plus one more advanced puzzle such as a ‘barred thematic’ - think: Inquisitor or Enigmatic Variations.
What’s nice is that Unch Issue 1 is chock-full of MyCrossword setters! There are regular cryptic puzzles from Amoeba, Angel, Coot, Guinevere, Henri, Liari, PostMark, sirdakka and Skirwingle, plus a barred crossword from Cranberry, known locally as Fez.
And the best part? It’s only £5 (+ £1 UK p&p). We are looking at how to add international shipping as soon as we can - if you are outside the UK, please bear with us.
Pre-orders are already open for Issue 1 so reserve your copy now.
